IDENTITY THEFT STORIES SOUGHT

I am looking for writers who can submit to me real stories of either their
identity being stolen, or someone else that you know whose identity was
stolen. What we are looking for is the following:

* What happened and how did they get your identity (if you know this)
* What did the thief do with your identity
* How long did it take before you figured out that your identity was
compromised?
* How long did it take to restore your credit and what did that involve?
* How have you personally dealt with this?

Your account can be humorous, serious, or simply a narrative, but keep in
mind that readers will want to be able to relate with you. You should write
in a relaxed manner, but keep your writing clean.

Submissions need to be at least 400 words in length (although we are
placing an emphasis on articles that are well told rather than meeting a
certain minimum word requirement). All submissions can be made at
www.identitytheftchat.com/share-your-story/. All accepted articles will
receive payment BEFORE the articles are published. Most articles are
reviewed within 24 hours and payment is made immediately after the article
is reviewed and accepted.

WRITING COACHES NEEDED

The Graduate School of Business at Stanford is seeking to hire 4 to 7
Writing Coaches to work during the fall 2009 quarter evaluating students'
writing and providing developmental feedback to students for improvement.
Coaches will work with a tenured faculty member who is teaching two 15-
student sections of Critical Analytical Thinking (CAT), a required course
for first year MBA students. Work can be done from a remote location, but
preference will be given to Bay Area candidates. At a minimum all coaches
will be on campus for meetings the week of September 14 and the week of
October 12. Past coaches spent, on average, about 30 hours per week
evaluating student writing and coaching students.

Academic Qualifications:
> Masters degree (or higher) in English, Communication, or related field
> Experience in coaching graduate students in a demanding program
> Experience with both business writing and academic writing expectations
> Passion for supporting and assisting students at all levels of writing
proficiency

We are a personal injury law office that has helped many people through the
legal process after they have suffered serious personal injuries. We want
an easy-to-read human interest article writen about one such cleint. Once
the work is completed and payment is made, we will own the copyright for
use of the article as we choose.

We want the article to convey the former client's personal story of who he/
she was prior to the incident, the challenges he/she confronted due to the
injury, and how he/she overcame those obstacles. We want the story of the
person told in a human interest story type presentation, such as one would
read in a magazine or sometimes a newspaper, including the courage so often
demonstrated to overcome the life-altering affects of personal injuries and
the claims or lawsuits that follow. More specifics will be provided to the
person that is hired. There may be an opportunity for more articles on
other people after this is completed.

The story will likely be about 1,500 words.

Basically, we are looking for an easy-to-read story. We would need the
writer to:
1) interview the former client
2) talk to us or email us (whatever is easier) about what we did to help
the client, with us possibly providing photos or documents if the writer
feels this would further the story
3) using #1 and #2, write the human-interest story

Timeframe:
We would like to get the article written within one week of the hire date.
