SENIOR MEDICAL WRITER SOUGHT

The Senior Medical Writer's primary duties are to develop and generate
regulatory-related and/or commercially-related documents under minimal
oversight.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Document Preparation
" Responsible for draft development, writing, editing and finalization of
the following:
o Regulatory-related documents, such as initial IND applications,
investigator brochures, clinical study protocols, subject narratives (of
significant adverse events), clinical study reports, clinical trial
summaries, common technical documents, including integrated summaries of
efficacy and integrated summaries of safety, IND annual reports, and
periodic safety update reports.
o Commercially-related documents, such as journal manuscripts, abstracts,
posters, and slide presentations.
" Ensures full quality assurance and quality control procedures are
followed for all documents written.
" Conducts peer reviews and quality checks for other writers.
" Performs responsibilities with minimal oversight.
Project Management
" Influences or negotiates timeline changes with client's writing team
members to ensure document quality.
" Provides updates to the client's writing team and solves problems to
ensure timely delivery of quality documents.
" Initiates and maintains contact with key document contributors/business
partners to facilitate timeline adherence.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
" Bachelor's degree in science, English, communications, or related fields.
" Excellent written and verbal communication skills
" Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and general facility with other
computer-related tasks
" Strong cognitive abilities, including verbal reasoning, critical
thinking, and analytical ability
" Excellent attention to detail
" Minimum of 3 years of experience writing pharmaceutical regulatory-
related and/or commercially-related documents
" Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
" Demonstrated strong teamwork skills
" Advanced degree in the life sciences, pharmacy and/or English preferred
