Computer Innovations is looking for a contract / part-time Technology
Writer to document a web based project for one of our clients.

As a Technical Writer, you will be a key element in our organization and
will be generating technical documents such as functional docucumentation,
user manuals, help files for software, marketing brochures, and related
material. The work that you do will be used to guide the software
development initiatives for this program. You are therefore expected to
produce high quality documents, which are grammatically and factually
accurate. In the course of your work, you are expected to understand the
products for which you create documents. This will enable you to carry
out your tasks in future projects more efficiently and independently.

Candidate profile:
Candidates with experience in creating technical documents, product
presentations and related material are preferred. Should have very good
written communication skills. Candidates should have experience in tools
such as Word and Visio. Candidates need to have a clean, professional
appearance and must be able to communicate concepts accurately and clearly.
Preference will be granted to candidates with prior experience in software
design, software development, or previous functional writing experience
with web based projects.

Primary Responsibilities:
· Write and maintain functional documentation for a web based project
· Explain technical information to mixed audiences
· Communicate with the software developers and management to create a
clear and complete vision of the products functions.
· Make recommendations to staff to help fill in the functional gaps in the
software.

This position is a contract position.
This is a part time position estimated to take approximately 80 hours.
This is a telecommuting position.
