ChannelProSMB.com is seeking a Web Editor

Reporting to the Publisher, the Web Editor’s #1 objective is to drive
content creation, aggregation, and audience growth for the
ChannelProSMB.com website and its related online newsletters, webcasts
and other online assets. Editorial, marketing or PR experience would be
a good fit for this role.

This is a part-time contractor gig.

Responsibilities:
* Manage the content strategy and day-to-day execution of
ChannelProSMB.com as a stand-alone web site
* Writer: Writes 4-6 news stories per day, turning over announcements
and breaking scoops as they occur
* Manage forum and moderators
* Scan competitor and similar forums for ideas, potential contributors,
topics, etc.
* Edit headlines, images and visual display to maximize Web presence and
SEO appeal
* Work with in-house SEO experts to establish and maintain an SEO
strategy for ChannelProSMB.com
* Help create content for online newsletters: creation of content for
current email newsletters and create new audience specific email
newsletters
* Edit, research and write content for upcoming webinars. Host or
moderate as needed
* Review and edit submitted content before publishing
* Manage RSS feeds
* Identify websites suitable for posting ChannelProSMB.com articles and
reach out to post on sites like Digg, Twitter, del.icio.us, key
manufacturers, etc.

Qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience in an online content environment; web based
reporting, blogging, etc.
* High familiarity with web journalism technology, operations, and culture
* Technology journalism or marketing experience
* High degrees of energy and urgency and the will to create and build a
world class website

I am the CEO of a startup company, foodessentials.com. We have an exciting
new food comparison tool that enables you to compare foods by allergen,
additive and nutrient properites. We are looking for a freelance writter
to help us with a variety of articles to be featured on our blog that
utilize our food coparison tool as the backbone of the articles.

We'd be looking at articles of about 500 - 700 words each and have a
detailed content strategy that would provide the framework for what would
