writers for Concrete Decor magazine and its sister publications. Stories
will be assigned to writers by magazine staff.

The ideal freelance writer for us will have some knowledge of specialty
construction trades, in particular decorative concrete, concrete countertop
casting, decorative plastering and/or high-end drywall work. Experience
with trade publications or other relevant work is a plus, as is an
entertaining writing style. Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability
to quickly master complicated concepts are essential.

Responsibilities include:
Researching story topics, using direct interviews and other sources.
Outlines and contact information will be provided by the editors.
Writing clear, accurate copy.
Obtaining photos and captions to complement the story.

BUSINESS COPY WRITER NEEDED

What we are looking for is a set of questions with answers to help pre-
populate the new site. What I need isn’t so much a number of words as a
number of questions. We are looking for at least a couple of hundred
questions and answers on business topics aimed at the CEO level person.

I have attached a copy of the project process for you to read over. There
is an example in the process. The example is a single answer example. We
would love if you could provide a mix of questions with single answers and
questions with multiple answers (like a forum or q/a type thing.)

If you could send me a few samples, it would greatly be appreciated.
Creating them in Word works fine, as I can get that into OneNote easily.
Creating them in OneNote works fine also – just send me the pages or a
zipped section.

We are not expecting you to come up with the questions totally on your own.
We expect that you would be finding content on the web that you could turn
into questions and answers in your own words. To be clear, both summarized
answers from other sites (as shown in the example) and questions and
answers fully in your own words will work. We don’t want copied content.
Anything that has sources will help also.

Because of the scope of this project, we are not paying by the word. We are
looking to pay about $4.50 per question. If you prefer an hourly rate, let
me know how many questions you feel you could do in an hour and what you
would want for a rate based on that. If you can guesstimate how many
questions you think you can get done in a week, it would be appreciated.
(50? 100? 200? More) Knowing that will help me with planning.

The deadline is ASAP. We are looking to port the questions into the new
site by the end of the month with a launch at the beginning of April.

the project both challenging and fun.
